By taking a month out of Winter, to show Rupes the weakest Tremere of the House, I have helped him to beat five "Champions", and now he is an official member of Tremere. Four elders now swear allegience to Tremere, as do three younger magi. Very soon, our time will come. ** ** From the Chronicles of Salvadore At the Council Meeting of Spring, 1212, three magi asked for admittance to the Tomb. They were Dubius of Criamon, Rogers of Ex. Misc. and Turbator of Tremere. Dubius and Turbator were both admitted by a wide majority. The matter of Rogers of Ex. Misc. is still pending, due to questions over his recent problems with Magvillus. While the magi were being admitted, several Certamens were fought. Flamma beat Domita and then Rupes beat Demoror. Flamma then challenged Rupes, but was too tired to fight the Certamen at once. After the Certamens had been completed, Pipio of Mercere, a Redcap from Germany, came forward to speak. At first, he asked of Sagino of Tremere, once a member of our Covenant. After he had gained the information that he wanted, he revealed that Sagino had just recently learned of his mentor, Vinum's, death. Apparently, he planned to take Vinum's House by force. Pipio was on his way to Magvillus, to ask that a March be called upon Sagino if Sagino took the actions that he threatened. After a short period of discussion, Pipio left, and the Council Meeting of Spring, 1212 was called to an end. ** ** From Rupes' Book When that idiot Demoror challenged me to Certamen, I decided to teach him a lesson. He had challenged me for utterly innane reasons, and I wished to show him that a Tremere does not accept such treatment from his lessers. Thus, I demanded that he give me his magic teapot if I win. And, of course, I did. Unfortunately, it upset Flamma. She always did have a soft spot for the Quaesitor. That is a weakness, that other Tremere shall learn to exploit. I tried to apologize, and offer her the teapot, but she refused. So, after waiting a day, we fought the Certamen. Not surprisingly, she beat me. I returned the tea pot to her, and shall work in her lab for a bit. She's lucky that she's better at Certamen than I. If she were not, I would make her very sorry. ** ** From the Diary of Verdan of Bonisagus At tea yesterday, Flamma mentioned that she had gotten a letter from Inidinan, a Faerie in the Forest to the South East. Apparently, this Inidinan was asking for aid of some sort, and wanted Flamma, and any who would help, to meet her in the Forest. I was quite curious, for I have only seen the Forest once, when hunting after the Lizard Faeries, and so volunteered to go along, as did Angus, Dubius and Rupes. Katarina wanted to search for herbs, so we took her as well. After collecting Abrogo, Mercutio, Recanto and Samo to protect us, we set off. About an hour into the forest, Rupes started cussing about the increasing faerie aura, and so we decided to stop and summon Inidinan. Flamma turned into a fire, and Dubius and Samo danced around for a while. Finally, smoke started boiling up from the fire, and an image appeared. It was Inidinan. Apparently, Inidinan was mad at Flamma (and me too, for that matter), for helping to bury Vinum. She demanded that Flamma help her, in order to pay for this supposed treachery. For some reason, Flamma went ahead and agreed, and Inidinan outlined her needs. She asked that Flamma destroy three churches, named Saint Paul's, Saint Mark's and the Sacred Heart. It seems, these churches were infringing upon Faerie Lands. As Flamma agreed, Angus, Katarin and I all explained that we didn't really have any desire to help in this quest. So, we returned to the Covenant. Flamma collected Luigi and Victorio, to replace all of us who had begged off the mission, and then the band of them set off, to destroy churches. I still can't believe that three magi would take such a mission. Something about the Faerie Forest has shown me that an emptiness exists in my life, that I can never fill with magic alone. I shall have to look into the matter soon, for in a few scant years, it shall be forever too late. ** ** From the Diary of Verdan of Bonisagus A letter from Parco, of Vinum's Tomb, appeared today. He spoke of the upcoming war that Pipio had warned of, and asked that the Tomb help him. I sent a letter back suggesting that they come to an amicable solution, and pointing out that the Quaesitors should be the ones to settle the problem. I hope that the issue can be solved without blood shed. ** ** From the Epic of Luigi After several weeks journey, we finally arrived at Saint Paul's, the furthest church from the Tomb. For a time, the magi argued, as they always do. Finally, I got bored, and volunteered to survey the church, for I knew that the magi would not come up with such a competant plan on their own. I grabbed Samo and Victorio, and headed into the small town, while the magi continued to argue. We were speaking with the priest in the Church when the magi finally came up with a plan. I smelled burning, and realized that Flamma had resolved to burn the Church down. I distracted the priest with money, while Samo and Victorio ran off. When I finally heard people noticing the fire, I blew up my armor. The ensuing fire ball was quite enough to make sure that the peasants would not be able to save the church. After I ran out, Samo, Victorio and I helped fight the fire awhile, just to look good. Then, we took off, and watched the first church burn to the ground from a distance. The next Church was the Sacred Heart, and the magi proved to be just as disorganized there as they had been at Saint Paul's. The Sacred Heart was a small stone chapel, sat on a small hill, out in the middle of nowhere. Flamma knew that there were definitely people inside, and she didn't want to just drop the Church, because she was afraid she might hurt those people. So, the magi came up with a really innane plan. The new Criamon made Victorio look like a woman, and then Flamma made a big wagon, and we made it look like Victoria was trapped under it. Then, Samo ran about, and got monks from the Chapel to help try and free Victorio. Meanwhile, the magi and I stood on another hill, ready to destroy the Chapel once it was empty. The magi were as incompetant as ever. While Rupes tried to destroy the Chapel, Dubius and Flamma played games with illusion magic. Rupes created great chasms in the earth, but kept missing the Church. One chasm caught Samo and Victorio, and another caught most of the monks. Finally, Rupes was able to destroy the church. Fortunately, none of my warriors were killed by Rupes' blunders, and so we were able to head on to the last church, Saint Mark's. And, once again, the magi proved unable to deal with the situation. The Criamon got into a fight with a dog, and was almost killed by it. Samo and I barely managed to save him. Then, Flamma yelled at Samo for killing the dog, and destroyed his shield. And then, the magi were all afraid to go back to the town, because some villagers had seen us kill the Criamon's dog. I finally insisted that I would deal with the problem. Marching to the town, I used my sword to convince the peasants to tear down the church. With the matter dealt with, I returned to the magi, annoucing that the mission was complete. ** ** From the Chronicles of Salvadore Pipio of Mercere returned to the Tomb today to announce that a Wizard's March would be called against Sagino of Tremere if he took the actions that he had proposed. Hopefully, the threat shall be enough to keep the magus from the actions that he had threatened. ** ** From the Diary of Verdan of Bonisagus In Rome, I found a beautiful German woman named Sadie. I have brought her back to the Tomb, and she now share my lab. I hope that she is able to provide me with a son before a longevity potion closes that avenue forever. ** ** From the Chronicles of Salvadore It had been officially reported that a Wizard's March has been called against Sagino of Tremere, due to his actions taken at Vinum's House.
