The Kitchen

The Kitchen

The Kitchen, probably the largest room in the house, dominates the eastern half of the Ground Floor. These pictures really don't do it justice. Near the infamous beaded curtain, leading to the Strange Hallway are a stove, a set of cabinets, and a refrigerator. In the northeast section of the kitchen is a nook featuring more cabinets, a sink, and a portable dishwasher. A huge open space extends south of both of these areas; currently, it features a table (shown) and a second refrigerator.

The southwest section of the Kitchen includes a washer and dryer as well as routes to the Pink Bathroom and the back door, leading down wooden stairs into the very small backyard, which enjoys a view of the forest seen in other shots.

Note the beautiful, reddish-brown stone-tiled floor, which appears a bit dark in these photographs.

Looking Northwest. The northwestern quarter of the kitchen includes the laundry area to the far left, the cooking area to the far right, and that mysterious beaded curtain in the middle.

Looking Northeast. The northeastern quarter of the kitchen includes the sink area to the far left, partially hidden by the wall, and a dining area to the right. Two windows are visible, the leftmost looking out over the garage, and rightmost looking onto the tiny side yard.
