This Sun Room was originally an outdoor porch, from an era of building at the start of the 1900s when patients were told that sleeping outside was good for their health. As with most such outside porches, this one was soon enclosed. Wood shingles from the original exterior of the house line the west wall of this room, not visible in this picture.
This room is a thoroughfare, with the hallway to the west, lying just beyond the left of this picture and Kimberly's Study to the south, behind the photographer.
A strange, shallow closet is just to the left, along the west wall, while a closet from Kimberly's Study takes up additional space. These closets will eventually be removed to increase the available space in this office.
